Review: Heads UP Kit Part 1/3
4/12/11

I've always been self-conscious when it comes to my fellatio abilities. Am I taking him deep enough? Am I using my tongue right? I'm sure my husband would argue otherwise, but it's true that you're probably not giving him the best oral if your worried mind is elsewhere. Good Vibrations helps you get on the right track with their Heads UP Kit that contains the DVD Heads Up: The Official Guide to Fellatio, the Lingo Vibrating tongue ring, and Sliquid Cherry-Vanilla Swirl lubricant. Good Vibrations has all these products available separately, but you'll be saving over 25% if you purchase the kit.

Of course the star attraction is the semi-educational DVD by Pleasure-Ed. It’s about 47 minutes long and has three extras. I have to point out that I had problems playing it on my laptop. The menu would not work so I had to choose the chapter manually. I am probably missing a codec, so be sure to update your codecs if you want to play it on a computer.

Carol QueenDoctor Carol Queen, the host of the DVD, is a sexologist and the co-founder of the Center for Sex and Culture. She's written a few educational books as well as erotica, and has been a featured contributor in many other educational works. Clearly, she definitely has credibility. Besides her, this DVD features [what I assume to be] two real couples and three actors, as well as interviews with Kitty Stryker and Lady Monster.

Queen starts us off by explaining the anatomy of the penis, using proper anatomical terms and comparing it to other phalluses of females, transgender, and intersex individuals. Throughout her explanation the scene fades in and out from her and couples engaging in fellatio, and we're given the first taste of what this DVD is offering. I honestly was expecting something totally different, and wasn’t enjoying the DVD immediate. I was expecting a straight forward how-to type of video, but instead Queen, Kitty Stryker, and Lady Monster speak in intervals between all the couples. None of the scenes contain explanations, but they all contain aspects of what the speakers talk about.

Couple 1The first couple is older but I'd easily say that they're the most connected in terms of experience and ability. They reinforce Queen's lecture about not needing to ejaculate in order to orgasm, and it's very clear by their uninhibited reactions that this isn't some fake porno. This is definitely the most "average" or "normal" type of couple on the DVD in terms of the style of fellatio and I think they did a great job in starting off with this couple for that reason, as well as to point out the realism of all these scenes. This couple isn’t attractive, at least not by Hollywood standards. But damn that woman is wonderful at what she does and their chemistry makes them my favorite.

Couple TwoThe next couple is in more of a dominant and submissive relationship and I didn't particularly like their style. The man is obviously the top and he often tells his partner what to do, and I'm unsure if he's forcing her movement or if he's just holding her hair (I'm pretty sure it's the former). It's a strong contrast from the first couple's oral scene, and while I totally enjoy rough sex now and again, I just couldn’t get into it because it didn’t seem like the woman was enjoying herself until the end.

Couple ThreeCouple Four

I believe the third and fourth pairings are actors with the same woman. These are the most "porno-esque" scenes because of the professional skill of the actors and that they're both performed in the standing position, which is a standard in pornography. I’m not sure how appropriate these are for this DVD because they are professionals and obviously not everyone is going to be able to suck cock like that. But I did like the third couple’s scene and found the fourth very artistic. I think it is possible to learn from the woman’s style, but for me the reality is that I am probably not going to be able to mimic her with my impossible gag reflex. Now if you can deep throat without discomfort, you will probably take more from this than I will.

I really only liked the first couple, but I can’t deny that there’s plenty to learn from even without step by step instruction. For example, the woman in the first couple gently holds her husband’s testicles and base of his shaft with sort of a cupping gesture, and uses this to jack off his shaft into her mouth. It’s difficult to explain, but I’d never seen that before. I gave it a shot on my husband and lo and behold, it works fabulously!

The extras contain the entire scene of the fourth couple which mostly flitted in and out during the DVD, more info from Queen, and one last note from Stryker. I loved Queen’s bonus segment because she has so much to share about anatomy and how the penis works. I think a lot of the information is common knowledge or found elsewhere, but this part is so well done it’d be great to share with others who are uniformed.

Would I recommend this DVD? Yes! Even though I really thought I was getting something different, it didn’t take long for the artistic style to grow on me. I don’t think that this is the best for absolute newcomers or for those who’ve never sucked cock, because Queen doesn’t hand feed you techniques. This is one that definitely has to be viewed with an observant, open mind. If you’re looking for a straight forward how-to, this isn’t the right one for you.

Concern about lack of directness.
4/11/11

Lately I'm beginning to feel that I'm not honest enough in my reviews. Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to lie about a product. I'd never do that. What I mean is, I have a flaw of not standing up for myself and my beliefs as firmly as I should. If my opinion or desires may interfere or offend someone else's, I usually put "icing on the cake" by inadvertently getting across my true feelings or subduing the "harshness" of my feelings by using more delicate words.

My husband often points out when I'm doing this because in his opinion I shouldn't ever need to be so hesitant or very selective over my words, especially with him. What others may perceive as indecision is usually me saying "Well I'd like xx but we can get whatever you want," because I get anxious over the idea of being troublesome.

Since coming back into the sex toy community, I see that I do this often with reviews and I need to fix this. Maybe it's apparent to other reviewers with how often I say something on the lines of "it didn't work for me but ___ person might like it". People who are familiar with sex toys probably understand what I'm really saying (ie, "This toy sucked"). But people who are already into sex toys don't need a reviewer telling them that maybe if they like the things that I didn't, the toy would work out for them. No, a sex toy lover would already come to these conclusions themselves; there's no need for me to be holding anyone's hand.

Who this really hurts are people that are new to sex toys. If newcomers are reading my blog about a product that I didn't like, they may get the wrong idea. Maybe they won't understand how their personal preferences impact their taste in toys since they may have little to no experience themselves, but I definitely don't need to be glossing over a negative review by recommending a toy that I didn't like. Really, newcomers should be encouraged to try quality toys that work, and if a toy didn't work for me then why the heck should I endorse it?

I feel like an idiot now. I need to feel more confident in myself and my voice and not be a pushover in my toy reviews. No company that sponsors me is pressuring me to give positive reviews so I shouldn't ever feel the need to soften the blow.

I sincerely apologize to those who've read my reviews and felt confused about my honest feelings toward the product. I will attempt to go back and make corrections where I feel is necessary and applicable. Lastly, I'd like to remind all my readers that you never need to hesitate to ask me a question about one of my reviews. I'd love to hear your feedback in any shape or form.

Review: Sold on Sliquid Sea
4/8/11

Most people probably don't consider what lube they reach for in the heat of the moment. Whatever you picked up at the drugstore will work just fine, right? It will probably get the job done, true. But what are you really putting on and in your body? For some, parabens and glycerin can be irritating and sometimes even dangerous. Sliquid Sea is a fabulous lube that won't put you or your partner at risk.

Sliquid Sea

Sliquid has a whole line of hypoallergenic, glycerin free, and paraben free lubricants. Many of these are organic and even safe for vegans, Sea included. With such a small price tag too at a range of $11.99 to $14.99 per 4.2 fluid ounces, it only makes sense to pick such a healthy product over other lubricants.

Sliquid Sea is especially formulated to mimic your body's natural lubricant. It is supported by seaweed extracts from three different seaweeds—which are often used in cooking and as food additives—that serve as natural lubricants. The ingredient list is short and sweet:
Purified water, Plant Cellulose (from cotton), Cyamopsis (Guar Conditioners), Carrageegan, Nori & Wakame (Seaweed Extracts), Potassium Sorbate.
Especially noticable is that Sea is free of any coloring ingredients (who needs that anyway?).

Sliquid Sea definitely does exactly what it's advertised to do. It's clear and completely scentless and tasteless and doesn't become tacky with friction or leave any sort of residue. As listed above, it contains Cyamopsis which actually conditions the skin (and I tested this on my arm!); this further prevents any sort of delayed skin irritation.

As a water based lube, it's safe to use with all your toys and is safe with oral sex. A single dollop should be all you need for an entire session, but anal play or shower play may require more because water based lubricants aren't as resistant to drying out or being washed away as silicone.

A push button top isn't my most preferred type of dispenser, but overall I'm really pleased with the container that Sea comes in. It's not hard to dispense just what you need, though the bottle is a pretty dense plastic so I predict it will be more difficult to get out as the bottle is near empty. I'm really happy though that it doesn't leak, so you don't have to worry about laying it on its side in your bed table or throwing it in your bag for sex on the go.

This is my first Sliquid product but it won't be my last. I'm completely sold and Sliquid has instantly become a favorite in the bedroom. I won't be spending my money any longer on other lubricants which can potentially be dangerous for my health in the long run when I have such an accessible, affordable, healthy option.

Thanks to Good Vibrations for sending me Sliquid Sea!

Death of a Clit Vibe
4/4/11

My Lelo Mia and I have been through a lot. I can't count the number of times she's gotten me off by herself or skillfully assisted. I keep her in my bedside table because I reach for her that often.

I got her back in early 2009 and gushed over her in my review. It's unfortunate that it's only been two years, but she's been so heavily used that I still stand by Lelo and say that this is a quality vibrator. Heck, the Mia's even been upgraded to a stronger, less buzzy motor in this past year.

The Lelo Siri has caught my attention and hopefully I'll have her in my hands in the next month or so. But I'm seriously considering just replacing my Mia too because I've been just so damn impressed and pleased with her all this time. Seriously, if you need a clit vibe, check out Lelo.

RIP :(

Truthfully, the glue has just come undone and I managed to wiggle her innards loose by the silver band that I use as my hand hold. She still works but I don't feel comfortable gluing her back together again, which means she can only be used delicately now.

Review: Calypso Makes You Come
4/2/11

Calypso 2 in the shower

The Calypso 2 by CalExotics is a uniquely shaped, corded bullet-type vibrator. It's part of the Couture Collection which is a higher end collection made of Japanese medical grade silicone with fool-proof and illuminated controls. If you're looking for a bullet that covers most of the bases, this might be the one for you.

Calypso 2 bullet size

The bullet connects to the control pack by a 22 1/2" long cord, and is 3 1/2" long and about 1 1/2" in diameter at its largest spot. It's shaped perfectly to hug the clitoris which, unsurprisingly, is my favorite use for it. As always, silicone is a fabulous material that can be bleached or cleaned with trusty ol' soap and water. This way you won't have to worry about sharing it between partners or even what orifices you're stimulating. You probably won't need lubricant, but stick with water based as silicone will damage it.

Calypso 2 control pack

The control pack is about four inches long by one and a half inches wide and fits nicely in one hand. It has a power button and a function button above it, both of which light up. The vibrations have a total of seven function settings, beginning of course with low, medium, and high standard vibrations. At its highest, the vibrations are just over average but I like to think of bullets as an accessory, not the main tool for the job. The remaining four are escalating and pulsating vibrations which I think are more fun to warm up with than to climax with. I'm probably not too impressed with them since they're buzzy vibrations; hey, at least they're pretty quiet and probably can't be heard through a closed door.

This toy is marketed as waterproof, but the control pack that contains the two AA batteries has no sort of seal. It's really hard to open but I'm too weary to submerge the control pack. But it's still great for use in the shower; after all, Calypso was a nymph who lived on an island. I love taking this in the shower and pressing my breasts against the cool tile. If you're needing something for discreet use, the noise from the shower will definitely drown out the sound of the vibrations unless the person is in the same room, maybe.

Calypso 2 packaging

The packaging isn't discreet but it's classier, considering CalExotics average packaging, is still not a spectacular storage option. It does work great if you need something more long term and secure, although less functional. This is small enough to fit in the cracks of one of my toy boxes.

If corded toys don't bother you and you're not looking for overly powerful vibrations, the Calypso 2 is really a good choice for your collection. I'm iffy about it because while bullets are more conventional for partner sex, a separate corded control pack is really not so convenient for me. It's a great price though and well matched with your favorite dildo if you just can't find a use for it between you and your partner.

Thanks CalExotics for sponsoring this review!

Review: Nothing but a Tease
3/28/11

The Lil' Teaser by CalExotics is a very slim vibrator with a flexible tip. It reminds me of a pacifier with its nook-like tip and ring at the base if infantilism is your thing, but its 5" length (3 1/4" insertable) and 7/8" diameter take away from the fantasy.

Lil' Teaser Packaging

The Lil' Teaser comes in CalExotic's trademark packaging which is quite colorful and non-discreet. You're best off discarding it and finding a new storage solution for your toy. With such a teeny size though, this vibe fits easily amongst your other goodies in a toy box or even in your bedside table.

Lil' Teaser

The best feature of the Lil' Teaser is that it's made of silicone. Yup, this little guy couldn't be made of anything better. He can be shared without a condom because he can be bleached or boiled, or stick with the traditional soap and water method if you plan on keeping him to yourself. Only use water based lubes with him though as silicone based can make him tacky.

When you're not using him as a pacifier, this vibrator is best used clitorally. It simply lacks too much diameter to be remotely interesting when inserted. Here's the kicker though: the tip of the Lil' Tickler bends like crazy. It's impossible to get any worthwhile sensation on the clit because neither the vibrations are strong enough nor can you add any pressure to enhance what vibrations there are. This little guy takes one N battery (included) which are usually pretty powerful, but it's just not enough with the Lil' Teaser's single setting.

Its labeled as waterproof, however this toy lacks an o-ring around its twist-off base so it's really not something I'd recommend. Furthermore, the seam where the silicone connects to the plastic was a concern of mine. Product pictures show it in much better condition, but my toy arrived looking raggedy and rough in that area.

As cute as it is, I can only recommend the Lil' Teaser as an erogenous vibrator, for those who can get off with very little stimulation, or even as a gag gift. Whether ironic or intentional, the name of this vibrator suits it perfectly.

Review: Squiggle isn't so Squiggly
3/26/11

The Squiggle by CalExotics is a purple, textured, multifunction vibrator. At 8 1/2" inches long (6 3/4" insertable), with a 1 3/4" diameter, this toy is filling for me but should work for many bodies. There's one detail that makes it just a little different from a tradition vibe though: it bends! But we'll get to that in a minute.

Squiggle

Right off the bat, there's one big downside to this vibrator. Its made out of PVC which isn't the safest of materials. PVC can smell very rubbery so it should be washed and aired out a few days at least before playing. Some say the smell never truly disappears, but I've had mine for a while and only smell it if I put my nose right up to the toy so this isn't a concern of mine. What really bothered me is that when I first received this toy it felt sweaty and sticky! The sweatiness disappeared after I washed it, but this strange sticky feeling—which I'm sure now is a characteristic of PVC—remains. Furthermore, PVC is porous so a condom definitely needs to be used if shared. It can't be boiled or bleached; soap and water is your only option. I'd say the only upside to this material is that it can be used with any lubricant.

Texture 1 Texture 2 Texture 3
Click the thumbnails to get a closeup of the textured areas.

Besides the poor material, the second thing that will probably catch your attention is the texture. The Squiggle's texture appears very pronounced and potentially troublesome, but alas! it's really no trouble at all. The head has small grooves in it which I can't even feel. Then we come across some diagonal bulges and it's not the texture that I feel, but the added girth which I actually love. I can't speak for those who have birthed children, but my vagina tends to push out anything that I'm not holding in. But this diagonal texture would hold the vibrator inside me, which I found it strangely erotic. I recommend doing kegels with this toy too; it feels pretty damn amazing. My vagina is too shallow to discover the last ridges near the base of the toy, so I'm unsure of how they'd feel inserted.

Squiggle, bent

Back to Squiggle's flexibility. Near the middle of this vibe is a bendable area that allows you to angle the Squiggle any direction you want. While this is really an ingenious idea, it totally falls short. For example, let's say you wanted to angle it for g-spotting. While it holds pretty well at first, as soon as you attempt to apply pressure to your g-spot, the Squiggle bends right back, if not even backward.

Battery Compartment

At least we got vibes right? The base of the Squiggle unscrews to reveal a battery cradle. At first I rolled my eyes, expecting this to be just as troublesome as some other battery cradles which often fit far too snugly and have to be pried out. Fortunately even with the three AAA batteries, this cradle slides right out. Also, I'm really pleased that there are indicators showing which way to insert the batteries and the cradle into the toy. In the heat of the moment, things like that can be complicated!

Controls

The controls are very straightforward, which I really like (and it lights up!). One button serves as the power button and the other is the function button and there are ten functions total. When I first turned this vibe on, I was very impressed with the vibrations and was sure the Squiggle was going to carry me over in no time. That is until I realized that when you turn the Squiggle on for the very first time it will be on the highest standard vibration setting. Now that's a bit of a letdown. The second and third functions are the medium and low vibrations, and the remaining seven are mostly variations of pulsations and a couple escalating. I really liked the fast pulsations but they just weren't strong enough to really deliver. I'd say that overall the vibrations were average in strength and I was pretty impressed with its quietness considering, but I wouldn't say its anywhere near silent.

So far the Squiggle is my favorite CalExotics toy simply because the size is perfect and I absolutely love how my vagina hugs it. If you're able to overlook its material, that its bending ability which its marketed to do is disappointing, and average range vibrations, the Squiggle might surprise you in other ways.

Thank you CalExotics for sponsoring this review!

Review: Bumpy Pink Giant
3/21/11

I’ll be honest, when I first opened the Power Bumper I was pretty terrified. This rabbit vibrator is huge, pink, and bumpy. I was sure I’d never be able to use it as it was meant to because of its frightening size and obvious traction problems, but I took a deep breath and stepped up to the challenge.

(Click images for full size.) Compared to my forearm and two bottles (11.2 oz and 2 liter).

I’m seriously going to annoy you guys with talking about how big this toy is, but I’m really not kidding. From base to tip, the entire length of this toy is about 10 ½”, of which about 5 ½” is insertable. The rabbit measures 4” from base to ear tips. But what I was really afraid of was the diameter; this bad boy is 1 ½” in diameter not to mention its texture.

The Power Bumper is made of TPR and isn’t firm. This allows the rotating beads to be felt against the skin, especially when squeezed or inserted in the vagina. It’s also more pliable and squishy which helps a lot for insertion. Unfortunately, TPR is porous so it needs to be used with a condom when sharing because it cannot be bleached or boiled. To clean, simply use soap and water. Both silicone and water based lubricants are safe to use.

The controls. Sorry for being dirty/dusty; this has been set down many places today.

The base of the PB is actually plastic, with push button controls, and a twist off battery cap. I think the controls are a pain because you have to memorize what button does what. Clearly you cannot see the bottom of this toy while you’re masturbating! So it’s very easy to push the wrong button, get off your groove, and have to work yourself up again when you’ve gotten your settings back. It takes four AAs to get this guy running, and then you have options: vibrations, spinning beads, or both?

I like to start off with vibrations to warm up, but unfortunately only the rabbit vibrates. Still, it can easily be used on the clit without insertion. And wow, this vibe is actually pretty powerful! I was really impressed because usually when I encounter a vibe that has only two settings, low and high, usually high isn’t really high. But low is more than adequate for warm up and I can come without even using the higher setting. The vibrations can be felt through the entire rabbit, so whether you’re wanting a tease with the ears or a deeper vibration near the base, you can have the best of both worlds.

Insertion was difficult at first, as predicted. But I really overreacted when I first opened this product because once you’ve warmed up and add some lube, it’s not that hard to insert. I did like the texture of the bumps and think that they really added to the experience, but they can be troublesome at first. I didn’t experience any pain using this toy, as large as it is. Just remember to take it slow! Unless you’re accustomed to larger toys, you won’t be able to thrust with this anyway.

There are four rows of rotating beads in the middle of the shaft which can be rotated either way. This is my first experience with rotating beads, and I have to say it’s really a different type of sensation, especially inside your vagina. Personally I could not insert the PB deep enough to experience all the beads internally, which may not be a bad thing because I really enjoy stimulation at the entrance. I’m not sure how I really feel about them though; I don’t think it really was a wow factor for me. The actual shaft gyrates too, and I think I enjoyed that more than the beads.

Clearly if you’re looking for a discreet toy, this is not it. Not only does its very image scream “Look at me!” but it’s not a quiet toy by any means. The lower vibration setting isn’t too bad and neither is the higher one, but it’s the spinning beads that make a very loud electronic noise.

In the end I was able to overcome this pink beast and it gave me a decent orgasm. It really wasn’t as terrible as I had feared, and this rabbit isn’t a disappointment if it’s in your size range. But for me, I’ll be avoiding rabbits of this size and look for something a lot more manageable.

Thanks CalExotics for sponsoring this review!

Review: It's Noon(er)time

The Nooner by CalExotics is a multispeed novelty vibrator. Its small size makes it great to slip into your purse or take on a trip, and the velvety texture makes up for its lack of functions. If you’re looking for a basic vibe that’s small, feels great, and is very inexpensive, the Nooner might be for you.

(Image courtesy of CalExotics.com)The Nooner comes in some very in-your-face non-discreet packaging which is best discarded—it isn’t a great storage option, even if you don’t have to worry about prying eyes.

At a total of six inches in length and a diameter/circumference of 1”/ 3 ¼”, the Nooner is definitely not a full sized vibrator. This gives Nooner the best of both worlds: allowing it to be a portable vibe that can still be inserted. In my experience with more compact vibrators, they generally cannot be inserted or are not pleasurable enough while inserted. It’s true that the Nooner won’t allow you a feeling of fullness, but the velvet cote texture has a little bit of a tug to it which is great around the vaginal opening and especially on the clitoris. Unfortunately, even though this is a small vibe, it’s not very discreet like other compact vibes can be.

As previously mentioned, this vibrator’s body is velvet cote (according to its packaging), which is non-porous and phthalate-free. Its dial and battery twist-cap are made of plastic which shares the same properties, minus the gripping texture. This makes it easy to clean with soap and water, but when sharing it should be used with a condom since it cannot be boiled or bleached. The same applies to it being used as an external anal stimulator (but don't insert this as it has no protective base!) Water and silicone based lubricants can be used without harming this vibrator.

What I really like about this vibe is that it takes only one AA battery. Just twist off the bottom, slip in the battery, and turn the dial base to your preferred intensity. Personally I prefer to turn this vibe all the way up immediately, because it isn’t overly powerful and I like very strong vibrations. It does have enough power to get me off, but if you absolutely need a powerful vibe, this won’t work for you. Furthermore, the vibrations aren’t deep and are definitely “buzzy”, much like the very non-discreet sound it gives off when it’s in use. It's not loud enough though to be distracting during sex and its small size allows it to be used in non-embracing positions if you just need that little extra something.

If you do purchase the Nooner and aren’t satisfied with its vibrations, definitely try it out in other areas. It does wonders on nipples, tender sides, other erogenous zones, and even feet, making it great for foreplay. Unfortunately it’s not safe for exploring under water, even though the packaging labels it as waterproof.

Overall I’d recommend this product to beginners rather than more advanced users, unless they have a penchant for basic vibrators. Everyone should have at least one in their collection though, because sometimes it’s really great to go back to our sex toy roots.

Review: Intimately Smooth with Inttimo
3/20/11

I always just use body soap when I shave. It gets the job done but definitely not without some very unpleasant razor burn. Looking for an alternative, I came across Inttimo Shave Kreme by Wet (1.5 oz for $7.99) which is an amazing smelling shaving cream that will leave your skin silky smooth and smelling delicious. It’s a great option if you shave but don’t want your partner to be eying your annoying razor burn when it’s time to strip down after a lovely date.

Wet International produces lubricants in the same price range, but they’re not entirely out of their element by creating a shaving product. Inttimo is specifically marketed to shave your “kitty” but also the rest of the body. It also claims to be “rash free” and “shield against irritation and razor bumps”, which is definitely supported by the following ingredients: aloe vera, vitamin E, jojoba, and shea butter.

Unfortunately it also contains some ingredients that can cause irritation, like parabens. You should also avoid this product if you’re into natural ingredients and avoid –ates and –cones. Ingredients (potential problematic ingredients underlined): Water (Aqua), Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearalkonium Chloride, Hydroxyethyl Ethylcellulose, Wheat Amino Acids, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Silk Amino Acids, Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5), Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Allatoin, Stearyl Alcohol, PEG-75 Lanolin, Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E Acetate), Fragrance, Tetrasodium EDTA, PEG-8 Dimethicone, PEG-8 Ricinoleate, Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Citric Acid, Blue #1, Red #33.

Inttimo definitely has the liking to a lotion or conditioner rather than a cream. I’d say that shaving creams and gels are totally incomparable to Inttimo’s texture. It’s decently thick, doesn’t lather or foam, and moisturizes the skin. It has a smooth consistency that isn’t sticky and it doesn’t leave a residue.

Inttimo is fragranced, but it’s far from overpowering. It cannot be smelled more than one to two feet away, which is great because it won’t distract from any perfume or cologne but can be smelled on the skin by a lover. The scent is called “forbidden fruit”, which is definitely fruity and sweet, but not candy-like.

In regards to actual shaving, this is a pretty impressive product. Its claims for being rash and razor burn free hold true. Even if you do happen to nick yourself, it doesn’t sting or irritate the skin. A dime sized amount is all that’s needed to adequately cover the armpits and groin, and another dime size is enough for the entirety of the legs. I wouldn’t say that a little goes a long way, especially since there is so little product to begin with, but you will need less of this product than a traditional shaving cream or gel.

However, as much as I like the results, they really are no different than shaving with a conditioner. The area is moisturized and lubricated to protect against a razor, and that’s how you get such smooth results without the need to apply lotion or aloe vera after shaving. Considering the ratio of price per volume, purchasing a conditioner is a much more wallet friendly option, plus then you’d have an array of choices in regards to fragrance.

The bottle itself is difficult to work with. It’s got a push open top but the plastic of the bottle itself is so firm that it’s really hard to squeeze the product out. Definitely store this upside down and use gravity to your benefit. Disregarding that small but important detail, it really is perfect for traveling and isn’t graphic, so unless someone is peeking at your shower items it is discreet enough that it shouldn’t cause any issues to carry around.

Ultimately, I recommend anyone to at least try this product. It’s expensive considering how little product you’re actually getting and that it’s basically a fancy conditioner, but it’s perfect for special occasions. Consider picking up a bottle if you have a partner who goes nuts over perfectly smooth and moisturized skin.

Spice It Up Inception: How to Convince Your Partner to be more Bold in the Bedroom

via SexToy.com. Click here to view the original article.

Is you sex relationship getting a bit blah with the same old, same old? Ever wish for some spontaneity, creativity and variation to spice up your love life? If your partner is a bit reluctant to try new things, we give you our “Spice It Up Inception” to invade your lover’s dream and plant a seed in their subconscious. Of course, seeing the movie Inception may be helpful in showing you how this works. And, you are not really going to invade their dreams, just allow them to fulfill their own (and yours) by dropping subtle hints.

1. Get a catalog of sexy lingerie and leave it open to a page of something you want, circle the picture and write: “I want this!!” This is similar to want you did as a kid with the Christmas Wish Catalog.

2. Get a How-to Sex Book and get caught reading it when your lover comes home. Explain to them you wanted to learn “How to do different sex positions” or whatever it is you want them to learn with you, and then show them some of the pictures.

3. Play the movie “When Harry Met Sally” and during the orgasm scene look wishfully at your lover and say, “You know they say people who have more orgasms live longer. Just saying…”

4. Lick a lollipop in a very seductive way in front of your lover and smile at them, letting them know you want to share some oral sex. Make sure you have your flavored lube handy!

5. Leave sexy little notes all over the house for when your lover gets home, leading to the bedroom, like a sexy scavenger hunt. Make sure to have candles burning, something sexy to wear, and some erotic body lotions to play with when they get there.

6. Get a sexy game that you and your lover can play together. Try Love Affair, Climaxxx, or Sensations games for lovers. Or just a game of Truth or Dare, with the emphasis on the “Dare”!

7. Leave a blindfold and a pair of soft fuzzy bondage cuffs on their pillow, with an erotic feather for sensation play. Berman’s Mistress Kit is perfect for this as it is playful, yet not intimidating.

8. Buy some exotic bath salts and massage oils and pamper yourselves with an erotic bath together with an intimate massage to follow-up. Great for foreplay and who knows where it might lead? ,

9. Get some Fantasy Coupons, put them in their lunch box, and later act out your sexual fantasies.

10. Buy a stripper pole and put it in the middle of the living room (it can easily be removed later). Hint, Hint!

Review: Best? Gay Erotica 08
3/18/11

The cover and inside to give you an idea of text size.

Best Gay Erotica 08 is a compilation of erotic, homosexual stories by various authors. There are seventeen stories total between the 224 pages of this book, and I believe they are presented quite nicely. We begin with a foreword by the editor which is short and to the point—what a relief!—and an introduction by Emanuel Xavier who has contributed to the Best Gay Erotica series in the past. I think at some points this introduction is a little inappropriate because Xavier often mentions himself and his accomplishments, and obviously this compilation is not about him. In the scheme of things though, I suppose that’s of little importance.

Then we get to the stories themselves. This collection is interesting, but I’m saddened to find that I’m still not horny by page 158. Violent and cocky tops, tickling fetishes, failed relationships, drugs and flashbacks, prostitution and watersports, annoying repetition (“I remember…”), hairy men, and incest don’t get me excited. At that point I was pretty confused. Isn’t this erotica? Isn’t this supposed to get me hot? Clearly Mr. Xavier’s turn-ons don’t match mine, because he says in his introduction on page xii that “Lube and cum stains sealed the selection of each finalist in this collection.” I’m not feeling his enthusiasm.

There were stories that I enjoyed however, even if they didn’t excite me. Donuts to Demons by Horehound Stillpoint is extremely well written and I would agree with Xavier that it’s plenty artistic. I actually went to hunt down more of Stillpoint’s work. Breeding Season by Taylor Siluwé is almost a winner, taking you into the mind of a high school boy in love with his best friend. Snowed in with Sam by Jeff Mann is almost my cup of tea, minus one disturbing detail and hairy bears. Come to Light by Rhidian Brenig Jones is nearly brilliant, and I’m beginning to realize the stories get better as you go along. Underground Operator by Andrew McCarthy is definitely a fun one if you’re into public sex and threesomes.

Finally, we come across two final concluding sections about the authors and editors. Here you’ll find a tiny bit of background on each author, any previous works, and sometimes their contact information. Likewise, the editor section contains the same information.

Overall, the anticipation for this hot and heavy, overpowering excitement to break through these words and into my body never really paid up as much as I expected it to. Unless the aforementioned categories are a turn on for you or you’re just interested in homosexual material, this book is better picked up on the cheap or borrowed because the amount of actual good erotica in it is pretty sparse. I will continue getting my hands on other Best Gay Eroticas and hope that other judges will have a taste that matches my own.
